We need the media, a discerning and serious media now more than ever. It’s time to scrutiny and get the trash off the air. I look forward to a Ghanaian media that pulls resources together, syndicate news and engage across all radio and TV the fundamentals of nation building. Time to talk about basic issues that needs to be addressed across board and lets eradicate all the non-serious “things” off the air in order to garner up the mass reorientation of a citizens focus on national re-agenda. Let there be at least one system that can take on the monitoring and policing of government and policies along with think tanks. If media will default to quid-pro-quo with 80% air time devoted to turning issues into commedic talk, then society in our modern times has lost our piped piper.
