The Model 3 from Tesla will be another game changer for mid income electric car enthusiast. BMW and Audi need to step up their alternative offers, although the current I-series from BMW are already raking in fairly good sales, but how will that match the potential 200 mileage on a single charge the Model 3 boasts along with a full electric appeal ?
Hybrid will still be a mass market appeal for another 5 years, and Tesla Motors will need to rethink how to reach the masses other than with just price tags,. There is a lack of adequate charging stations, dealer networks, spares and service centers. Musk must optimize his sales business model in order to take advantage of the Tesla value proposition in a market that’s highly dealer centered. I’d hate to see a good thing not widespread adopted on grounds of business model stubbornness.
